Jan became involved in the dog rescue world about 17 years ago and personally has two rescue dogs. She has volunteered her time at several San Antonio shelters, teaching staff and volunteers basic obedience training while also working directly with special cases herself.
Rescue dogs need and deserve normalcy in their lives. For a dog, normalcy comes from leadership. All rescue dogs benefit from strength, consistency, and guidance, which helps them transition from being a rescue to being a beloved family member.
When Jan moved to her current location, she inherited a feral cat colony. After attending seminars with the San Antonio Feral Cat Coalition, she worked diligently to have all the cats spayed and neutered, ensuring their well-being.
